about Dim-Dim
I first heard Dim-Dim when E*rock sent me one of his early albums called "Space Cake". I immediately liked it. I thought it was the sort of music I would make if I was a musician, but better. And then came "Ananas" which was even better than "Space Cake". I started to learn a bit about Dim-Dim from what E*rock was telling me. He was not only a musician, but a visual artist as well and he was so prolific that he's made a few albums worth of stuff he's made since "Ananas". I think his next album is due outvery soon and I can't wait. E*rock visited Dim-Dim last year in Belgium which is where he lives and I think he showed some of my animations to him and I got a letter one day from him saying maybe we should collaborate. I'd been thinking about that ever since I first heard his music, so I jumped at the chance. We started exchanging ideas and even talked on the phone a few times. I was first thinking of making something with his illustrations, but he wanted me to stick to what I do. I'm not a 100% sure if he likes the result, but he was nice enough to say it's OK. I was happy just to have done something with him and I hope we have many more collaborations to come.
