Orchestra du Soleil - a summerday by the lake

I also got this album in Tokyo. I think when I heard it at a listening station in a record store in Shibuya, I was quite frazzled from the devestatingly hot weather and the huge crowd of people and I wanted to listen to something that cwould calm my nerves. It certainly did that quickly with sounds of water and nature, then it went into this envelopping slow soothing song. I could have fallen blissfully asleep if there was a deck chair. It's a sort of a visual sound and it would be perfect for a soundtrack to an afternoon in a back yard pool somewhere like South France or Spain. It sort of starts out very innocently, but then slowly as you listen, it starts to take on a different tone. You almost get the sense that something terrible may take place. It never gets to more than just a hint of creepiness. It's kind of sneaky that way and it passes and you forget all about it like you're not sure what really happened because you weren't quite awake enough to know what happened.
